Multiple cameras or rather more than three cameras seems to be the trend for smartphone makers. We have seen the Huawei P20 Pro which has four cameras (three rear and one front) already. Samsung and LGare reportedly working on five camera setup in their respective upcoming smartphones. And now, joining the club is Japan-based electronics company, Sony.
Sony Xperia XZ3 is its upcoming flagship smartphone that will be launched this year. If rumours are to be believed, the smartphone will feature four cameras — two on rear side and two on front side. Image of the two camera modules were recently leaked online.
The firm has already launched Xperia XZ2 in April this year. So if the Xperia XZ3 gets a launch this year, it will be the company’s second flagship in a year.
Being a successor to Xperia XZ2, the Xperia XZ3 is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. According to online reports, the smartphone could pack 6GB RAM and upto 64GB internal storage.
Xperia XZ3 is expected to come with Xperia XZ2 like features. To recall, Xperia XZ2 comes with a 5.8-inch 4K HDR Triluminos display of 2160×3840 pixel resolution. Its display has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back and is rated IP65/68, making it water resistant. On the camera front, Sony Xperia XZ2 features a motion eye dual camera setup of 19MP with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP black and white camera with a f/1.6 aperture.
